about

Baker-Miller Pink, also known as P-618, Schauss pink, or Drunk-Tank Pink is a tone of pink which has been observed to reduce hostile, violent or aggressive behavior.

It was originally created by mixing one gallon (3.78 L) of pure white indoor latex paint with one pint (0.473 L) of red trim semi-gloss outdoor paint.

Alexander Schauss did extensive research into the effects of the color on emotions at the Naval Correctional Facility in Seattle, and named it after the institute directors, Baker and Miller.

lyrics

"Prison Pink"

the world’s gone ape-shit
I need some Baker-Miller in my life
take the fight outta me
lock me up
shut me up
paint my world
prison pink

heart rate is down and my anger’s gone
mix red and white for a miracle calm
a certain ratio, a soothing glow
P-618 is a heavenly code

heart rate is down and my strength is gone
mix red and white for a miracle calm
a certain ratio, a man-made glow
P-618 is a heavenly code

but wait
but wait

in this sweetness & pink
we’re rotting like teeth
I can still make a fist
you're soft as cotton candy!

this isn’t working like they hoped it would
my heart rate’s up and my thoughts aren’t pure
post-pink mind is tipping to spill
flamingo chill becomes an urge to kill
