kitchen caught a mouse in the bread tonight they killed it dead with a knife I looked away and my mind took flight I can’t kill, I can’t kill to save my life inside the world there’s a larger world all things are joined by silver strings you can see it when your heart is free so get out I used to want in on it I used to bow down to it I used to fear it sometimes now that world inside is mine I’ve seen behind the scenes the wheel of everything opposite ends are not really ends they meet in the middle again life is a circle so go around

about

These two songs—both meditations on pacifism and violence—were originally released in 2017 on a split cassette with Kissing Party (a few copies of the tape are still available in our merch section!), but we wanted to get them out there as a standalone release as well.

"Prison Pink" is about a certain shade of pink meant to placate violent criminals, and how that idea may not be as effective as hoped. "Silver Strings" is about life, death and my relationship (or lack thereof) with violence after taking lots of psychedelic drugs.
